This treatment method is very new and can be performed guided by imaging device through angiography and is preferred to surgery. It is performed as an outpatient procedure without anesthesia and achieves remarkable results.

 

The prostate is a walnut-sized gland in young men. With aging, the gland increases in size. This size enlargement is called benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH).

Prostatic artery embolization is one of the new treatment methods for benign prostatic hyperplasia, which is performed under the guidance of imaging devices with local anesthesia through angiography and achieves remarkable results.

 

That is, a catheter will be inserted into the intended artery through angiography. Then, a combination of blockers will be injected into the prostatic artery and this disease is treated. This surgery does not require anesthesia and is a suitable substitute for surgery.
