PET\u2011CT Procedure:<\/strong><\/h3>\n

After admission, your medical history will be taken and recorded by our staff. Then, if you are wearing jewelry, remove it from your body and give it to your companion along with your mobile phone. (The institute holds no responsibility for your personal belongings.) Change your clothes in the changing room into a special gown. You will be guided to the injection room. There, our nurse will record your height and weight and check your blood sugar by taking a drop of blood from your fingertip. If your fasting blood sugar is below 200 mg\/dL, an IV line will be placed in your hand or elbow to inject the radiopharmaceutical, and a very small amount of the radiopharmaceutical will be injected. After the injection, you will be taken to the resting room to rest for about one hour in a quiet, dimly lit environment, lying down or sitting. Please refrain from any talking, whispering, walking, and as much as possible from frequent coughing or throat clearing during the rest period.<\/p>\n

During the waiting time in the room, drink about 1 liter of water, use the restroom, and take care that urine does not spill on your clothes or body.<\/p>\n

After about one hour, the technician will call you and guide you to the imaging room.<\/p>\n

During the imaging, which will last approximately 25 minutes, refrain from any movement, talking, coughing, deep breaths, or turning your head. You may breathe calmly and naturally.<\/p>\n

After the imaging is completed, wait in the post\u2011injection waiting area until our staff inform you that the entire imaging process is finished.<\/p>\n

Your total stay at the institute will be about 3 to 4 hours. Your scan results will be ready within 2\u20135 working days and can be received via the link sent to you or from the institute\u2019s result delivery unit.<\/p>\n

Post\u2011PET\u2011CT Scan Care:<\/strong><\/h3>\n

After the imaging is completed, you have no restrictions regarding diet or physical activity. It is advisable to drink plenty of water.<\/p>\n

Dear patient, because your body contains radiopharmaceuticals, please use only the exit elevator and strictly avoid returning to the admissions unit or other floors.<\/p>\n

Direct breastfeeding from the mother\u2019s breast is allowed 12 hours after the scan is completed. For 12 hours, maintain a distance of at least 2 meters from pregnant women and children under 7 years old. Do not use public transportation.<\/p>\n

If your workplace does not involve direct contact with children or pregnant women, you may attend work.<\/p>\n

If you plan to travel by air within less than 24 hours after the scan (due to radiation detection at the airport), be sure to obtain a letter from the admissions unit for this purpose.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
